Automating Model-Type-Number Enrichment

Enriching articles with a model number type is a crucial part of our data management process. To ensure this happens automatically and efficiently, a daily job runs at midnight (00:00) to identify and enrich eligible articles. This process is triggered by a set of specific criteria, which vary depending on whether the article is a private label (PL) or a non-private label article.


Private Label (PL) Articles

For PL articles to be automatically enriched, they must meet all the following conditions:

  • The article is a wholesale article.

  • It must have a valid SKU.

  • It belongs to a PL brand.

  • It must currently be without a model-type-number.

  • The article must have been updated within the previous 24 hours.

Only articles that satisfy these requirements are flagged for automated model-type-number enrichment.


Non-Private Label Articles

Non-PL articles have a more extensive set of criteria to be eligible for the automated enrichment process. All of these conditions must be met:

  • The article is a wholesale article.

  • It must have a valid SKU.

  • The article's k-number must be present in a predefined list of supplier codes.

  • It must currently be without a model-type-number.

  • The article must be part of a purchase order (PO) with a type of either 'Preorder' or 'Direct Order'

  • The article must have been updated within the previous 24 hours.

  • It must have both a supplier article number and a supplier color code.

This comprehensive set of rules ensures that the correct non-PL articles are identified and enriched with the necessary model number type information, helping to maintain data accuracy across our system.

Once information is enriched and updated in the Buying Article Service, it is sent to compliance for checks and then Workbench.
