To comply with our inbound logistics requirements and enable deliveries to Zalando, all suppliers must adhere to the following:

Customs Import
For Beauty shipments, our Incoterm is DDP.
For all other shipments, Zalando takes care of the customs clearance.
When goods are shipped from a non-EU location, Suppliers must
complete the Incoterm form (agreed Incoterm(s), place of handover, country of departure)
file an export declaration
When on DDP Incoterm, Suppliers must:
adhere to German customs requirements
unless otherwise indicated, adhere to Incoterms 2021 rules set by the ICC
delivery goods ready to be unloaded
take care of export / import declaration
pay all additional costs (VAT + duties)
cover all risks up to place of delivery
ship samples from non-EU countries
Product Quality & Safety
Suppliers must:
have their production / quality team complete the Product Quality Onboarding Form to assess quality management risks
undergo a Corrective Action Plan if they're deemed "risky" in regards to quality
fill in a Product Safety Questionnaire
comply with all requirements laid out in the Zalando Quality Assurance Manual
be aware of all EU / local regulations in countries where Zalando sells items and test their products accordingly
if non-EU Suppliers, must submit test reports for at least 20 % of all articles sold in the first two seasons, prior to delivery
if EU Suppliers who completed the questionnaire, must submit test reports for at least 20 % of all articles sold in the first two seasons, prior to delivery, if not already available.
