This article will provide instructions on how to setup and reset the multi-factor authentication on the Zalando Partner Login (ZPL)

Note: The multi-factor authentication setup is optional and only improves your account's security.

Here, you will find instructions on what ‘multi-factor authentication’ means and how to:

Multi-factor authentication provides a secure way of accessing your account by reducing the risk of identity theft even if your password is compromised.

We provide multiple options for you to enable as a security factor, including Biometrics and push notifications to a phone.

How to set up the MFA?

Step 1. Access the Zalando Partner Login dashboard

You can access the Zalando Partner Login dashboard at this URL: https://partner.identity.zalando.com. If you haven’t done so already, please bookmark it for future reference.

Step 2. Navigate to the menu ‘Security Methods’

Open your user profile in the top right corner to select ‘Settings’. You will then be able to see the ‘Security Methods’ section.

Step 3. Choose your preferred multi-factor authentication method(s)

Under ‘Security Methods’, you can choose which authenticator you want by selecting ‘Set up’ next to it.

Please note that setting up a multi-factor authentication method can either be required or optional for your account:

  • If you see the ‘Set up later’ button in the pop-up window alongside the wording ‘Set up optional’, then this setting is only optional for you, and you can skip this by selecting ‘Set up later’.

  • If you do not see the ‘Set up later’ option, and the overview only reports ‘Set up required’, then we have identified you as someone having access to sensitive data in our applications, and you will have to choose one of the listed security methods as your second factor in order to proceed.

Step 4. Follow the guided setup process

Follow the instructions provided on the Zalando Partner Login page to enroll the new authentication method to your user account.

At the end of the setup process, you will receive an email to confirm a new security method was added to your user account.

After you have set up your first security method, you can decide whether or not to add another method to additionally secure your account.


How to reset the MFA?

In your Zalando Partner Login dashboard, open your user profile on the top right corner and select ‘Settings’. You will then be able to access the ‘Security Methods’ section.

Select the option ‘Remove’ on the right side of the activated multi-factor authentication method(s) that you want to reset.

Follow the instructions provided by the system to proceed with the action and, once done, the target security method will be reset and the process completed.

At the end of the reset process, you will receive an email confirmation.
